PGP Summer Drift Series

I went out to PGP again and shot the start of the summer drift series recently. Lot of new faces and new cars out on the track, (which if you still dont know is normally a go kart track :D, used for lapping and drifting) Lots of tight turns and technical entries on the track.

Also took this event and created a new editing technique that I am very satisfied with. A combination of effects to get cars to pop and give colors a sort of "animated look" The yellow car above best represents the changes.

This salmon colored car was doing work the entire day until he bottomed out on the edge of the track and got stuck for a good 20 minutes while track workers brought in the big equipment.

I half expected benny hill to be playing the entire time as they tried rocking the car, using wooden planks, pushing, pulling.. Finally a truck was brought out and.... It didn't work. The next best thing comes in shades of yellow:

The driver looked on in horror as the big yellow machine barreled down the track, later a track flagger told me he had said said they were just going to punch through the windows and pick it up that was, heheh.

Good event, there will be plenty of event coming out of PGP this summer so look for more.
